Texas

Amid growing concerns among Americans about job stability, health care and education, there is a new demand for government to work better and cost less. Innovative solutions, particularly at the state level, are driving reform and progress. With solid systems in place to support good management, the challenge in Texas is to ensure that all agencies achieve the same high level of performance.

A strong performance culture exists in many agencies, and increased collaboration could go a long way in bringing more agencies up to speed. By making a few key changes to bolster coordination and bring about results, Texas could experience tangible gains in such areas as workforce development and infrastructure management.
